How We Counted

These counts come from the listings in our own trade directories for auto repair and mobile mechanics, roofers, electricians and locksmiths. They cover the cities each directory serves, so they are not a random sample of every business in America. Our roofer and electrician sets are mostly in California today.

No real website means the listing had no website at all, or it pointed to a social or directory page such as Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Linktree, Nextdoor, Angi or BBB instead of the business's own domain. A place or trade only gets its own line when it holds at least 50 listings, so no line ever points at a handful of businesses. We never publish a business's name, phone or address here.
